ABOUT ME

In-person, at-home feeding support for families across Sheffield.

Hello, I’m Jess, and I love supporting families on their feeding journeys.

I found the experience of becoming a mum all-encompassing. There were moments of deepest joy and contentment, for sure. But a lot of the time, I felt swamped by a sea of questions – many related to feeding my little boy. Is he getting enough? Is he feeding too much? Should it hurt like this? Am I doing this “right”?

I wanted someone to give me the answers. But the most meaningful support I received offered not certainty, but space. Space to explore the practical courses of action that felt right for me and my baby. And space to acknowledge the feelings that come along with new parenthood, and the feeding decisions many families face.

Experiencing this mother-centred support inspired me to want to provide it for others. After almost two decades in journalism, I went back to study at the University of Worcester and retrained as an antenatal practitioner and breastfeeding counsellor.

Three years (and another baby) later, I spend my time working with families across Sheffield as they navigate their own feeding journeys.
